Everyday Dish in Saltwater

A simple ceramic dish designed for everyday use.

The low, open form makes it perfect for small snacks, olives, sauces, slices of fruit, or a piece of toast beside your morning coffee. It also works beautifully as a catch dish for jewellery, keys, or small objects around the home.

The shape is intentionally minimal so the glaze and natural clay body can take centre stage.

Easy, versatile, and made to be used often.

Saltwater

Finished in Saltwater, a soft blue glaze with rich natural speckling that settles across the surface like sea spray.

The glaze pools slightly toward the centre of the dish, creating subtle variation in tone while the warm clay edge frames the piece. After firing, fine speckles appear throughout the glaze, giving the surface depth and movement.

Each dish develops its own pattern of speckling, making every piece slightly different.

Material

Stoneware clay & glaze. These pieces are dishwasher safe though I recommend hand washing where possible. Due to the content of iron in clays and glazes I use, these pieces are not microwave safe.
